Scanner error messages

You might come across an error message while scanning a sample. Below you can find the overview of these error messages. Please follow the instructions written within the error message to solve the problem. 

Errors involving the calibration cap

• H3: Ensure contact with the background sample.
• H4: Ensure contact with the standard sample.
• H21: Background is expected but soil is scanned.
• H22: Background is expected but standard sample is scanned.
• H23: Standard sample is expected but background is scanned.
• H24: Standard sample is expected but soil is scanned.
• H38: Background is expected but appears too wet.

Errors involving a Soil Sample

• H12: Ensure the Scanner to be in contact with the sample.
• H18: Spectrum outside expected wavelength. Unusable scan.
• H19: Format unknown unusable scan.
• H25: Soil is expected but background is scanned.
• H26: Soil is expected but standard sample is scanned.
• H37: Non-soil scanned.
