A Scanner is considered to have a charging problem if:
- The charging indicator in the battery icon on the Scanner is not blinking as it should when charging.
How to test this:
- Using the broken Scanner charger, charge a working Scanner (Scanner B). If this fails, the charger is faulty.
- Use the charger of Scanner B to charge Scanner A (faulty Scanner). If this charges Scanner A confirm the charger A is faulty.
Fix: In this case, advise the client to purchase a new charger.
- Use the charger of Scanner B to charge Scanner A. If the scanner is not charging, Scanner A is faulty.
Fix: In this case, contact 2nd line support.
- Checking for a faulty battery
- Charge the Scanner at 1AMP for at least 12-18hrs.
- If the Scanner is fully charged by end of 12-18hrs and it is still losing power too fast/ does not store power. Then contact 2nd line support.
- 2nd line support will advise if a battery change is needed.
